A Day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
The Monterey Bay Aquarium was at least half the reason I wanted to live on the Monterey Peninsula. I first joined the aquarium as a member in 1990, and kept my membership on and off over the years. I got a lot of use out of my membership in the year that I lived in Pacific Grove, and got to take many friends and relatives there for visits.
On this day, I was visiting with my friend Anna Marie and her husband Rene. We saw a lot of harbor seals, and their newborn pups, on the beach near the aquarium. We also spent a lot of time in the "Jellies as Living Art" exhibit, which opened in spring 2002.
